ML1301 Gibel Tarik (Ex HMS Meda)

ML1301 spent her early career in the Mediterranean and post war became a survey vessel, HMS Meda. She was purchased by Hector Sheppard and spent the next 40 years in Gibraltar under his care. In 2007 she was sold and moved under her own steam to Ijmuiden in Holland.

Gibel Tarik is now berthed in Holland and owned by Klaas Spaans who is doing a great deal of work on her to preserve her and return her to original appearance.

The passage from Gibraltar to Holland was made under her own steam with, David Carter,the son of the wartime Captain on board.
