Herbert Ernest Brewer TSLt Herbert Ernest Brewer HKRNVR Transferred to RNVR 7/42 HDML 1104 For services off the coast of Burma in 1942 MID 1942. Had previously served in MTB 09 at Hong Kong, until that vessel was scuttled in Mirs Bay on 26/12/41, a result of the Japanese invasion. Crew escaped to Burma, over 3000 miles away, Died in a road traffic accident, on the A1, whilst serving in HMS Drake, aged 25 and is buried in Gillingham (Woodlands) Cemetery, Naval Reservation, grave 1447. Son of Herbert Edney Brewer, and of Constance Isabel Brewer, of Los Angeles, California, U.S.A
